PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” is one of the largest integrated metallurgical plants in Ukraine. The company’s products are exported to more than 80 countries of the world.
“Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” is a part of Metallurgical Division of Metinvest Holding and a sustainable high-technology company.
The company specializes in production of high quality steel plate and sheet for high-duty metal constructions, shipbuilding, gas-, oil- and water pipelines, pressure vessels.
The company has a capability to produce the following semi-finished products:
Sinter produced from iron ore raw materials for production of iron, cast and rolled slabs and other types of semi-finished products which may be sold as marketable products subject to agreement.
The iron and steel works consists of: sinter plant, having 12 sinter machines; chemical metallurgical factory; blast furnace shop with five blast furnaces; limekiln department; steel making complex comprising converter (BOF)-shop and open hearth shop; rolling division comprising rolling mill shop 1700 with slabbing mill 1150, cold rolling shop, plate rolling mill 3000; pipe electric welding shop and hot-rolled pipe and flask (pressure vessels) production shop.
Product mix diversification and product consumer properties improvement present a constant continuous process allowing company to compete successfully at international metal products market.
The main products of the company include flat products and pipes from carbon, low-alloyed and alloyed steel grades for various applications:
Hot rolled plates for manufacturing pipes for main pipelines, sea craft, pressure vessels, bridge constructions, other high-duty metal constructions; hot rolled sheets, plates and strips including pickled ones; cold rolled (including galvanized) narrow band steel, sheets and strips including those intended for cold forming, profiled sheeting (corrugated deck) manufacturing, etc.
“Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” also manufactures heavy-wall seamless pipes including those for oil pipelines; welded thin-wall circular pipes for water and gas pipelines and rectangular and square sections; pressure vessels for various compressed gases including motor ones, etc.
PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” is the only cold rolled galvanized sheet manufacturer in Ukraine.

Quality management system developed and certified according to ISO 9001:2008 requirements functions at PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works”.
High quality of the company’s products is confirmed with more than 50 certificates issued by 9 foreign certification centers for metal products from above 200 steel grades as well as with national certification centers’ certificates.
Production capacities of the company allow to produce about 6,1 million tons of steel per year, including converter steel – 3,6 mil. t, sinter –12 mil. t, iron –above 5,5 mil. t and above 5 mil t of finished rolled products.
Hot-rolled plates from mono- and bimetal, dedicated for manufacturing of header pipes, sea crafts, pressure vessels, bridge structures, and other heavy-duty metal constructions / Hot-rolled plates, sheets and strips, incl. etched / Cold-rolled, incl. galvanized (sole production in Ukraine) thin bands, sheets and strips, incl. for cold forging, flooring etc. / Heavy-wall pipes, incl. oil assortment (casing, drill pipe) / Water and gas thin-walled welded pipes of circular section and structural pipes of square section / Flasks for compressed gas, incl. automobile etc. / Sinter, produced from iron-ore raw material for pig iron production / Cast billets and rolled slabs / Other types of semi-finished products, which under the agreement can be realized as marketable products.
